Bahria Town International Hospital Karachi organized a CME (Continuous Medical Education) on increasing society’s awareness of Asepsis in Operation Theatres.

Brig. Muhammad Abid was the chief guest of the event. Presenter & Master Trainer Mr. Muhammad Rafiq and Event Mentor Prof. Dr. Imran Munir discussed with fellow doctors, nursing and paramedic staff the importance of clean and infection-free surgical site and stressed upon the hygiene of doctor and nursing staff’s attire inside restricted or non-restricted areas of operation theatre, tuck-in or cap concept to cover facial hair and proper scrubbing of all surfaces.

The participants further discussed the patient’s immunity system, body’s defense and control against germs, how and when to use antibiotics post surgery and importance of maintaining HAPA filter in hospital’s air conditioning system.
