K.G. Traders continued to pe*****te deeper into the market, especially in the financial sector, as a solution provider to many complex trades and finance-related challenges. Traders was established as a proprietorship concern in the year 1964 –by its Founding Proprietor and later Chairman Mr. Muhammad Khalid, one of the most respected names in the field of trade operations and collateral management (muccaddamage business) and a pioneer in the field of collateral management in the banking industry. With his business acumen and unparalleled expertise in collateral management, trade and Impex related operations, he spearheaded many initiatives in these fields, introduced new products and launched several successful initiatives whereby instituted first ever banks’ custodian / collateral management setup. He was considered as problem solver, providing solutions to complex issues in the banking industry and their allied customer base and earned unprecedented reputation. He continued to partner with the financial services sector for 43 years until 2007 when he left for the eternal abode. The company was incorporated under companies’ ordinance 1984 as a privately-held (private limited) company in 1999 when Dr. Zeeshan Khalid took over as its first Managing Director upon his resumption of work after receiving his post-graduate degree from England. Dr. Khalid, upon joining his family business, began assisting his father in mid-1980s and had been able to avail of the opportunity to be trained by his father Mr. Muhammad Khalid the founder and first Chairman of KG Traders. Through implementation of principles learnt during the course of training remains the guiding light for Dr. Khalid and his team whereby the company has now become an industry leader in his field and has entrepreneurial command over trade operations, collateral management, asset valuations, stocks inspections and business information services. After becoming Managing Director of K.G. Traders he transformed from a 36 years old proprietary business house to an incorporated company through his emphasis on principles of prudent practices, technological advancement, team building and integrity. Under him, the company has seen new heights and become one of the leading credit risk information and collateral management company with staff strength of more than 800 well-trained individuals and infrastructure consisting of 11 branches across the country. Dr. Zeeshan Khalid has contributed a great deal and set out on numerous business ventures and has become Chairman of M. Khalid Collateral Management Company (Muccaddams of MCB Bank and warehousing consultant company), Fatima Khalid Publications (Publishers of Business Magazine monthly Value Chain), Chief Editor monthly Value Chain and Chief Executive of Exventure (Pvt) Ltd and Managing Partner at Green Asia Naturals.
