Last month a guest messaged me at 2 AM saying the AC “kept turning itself off,” and they were convinced the apartment was haunted.

I checked the smart thermostat remotely… turns out their cat (who wasn’t listed, of course) kept pawing the buttons and “summoning ghosts.”

So there I was, half-asleep, calling a very apologetic guest while they tried to convince the cat to “stop haunting the unit.”

Lesson learned: before blaming ghosts, check for paws. 🐾😅

🏡 The Case of the Disappearing Towels

One morning, a guest texted saying all the towels were gone. Every single one.
Our cleaner swore she left six fresh ones the day before.

We retraced steps, even asked the guest next door (awkwardly).
Nothing.

Turns out, the guest’s dog had a thing for soft things and dragged every towel to the backyard, all covered in dirt and grass 😅

We replaced them, restocked, and laughed it off with the guest, who left this gem of a review:
“They handled my towel thief with grace and humor.”
