RAWALPINDI: The chief executive of Bahria Town has been booked by the local police as the prime suspect in an attempted murder case, while his father, a property tycoon, is listed as a suspect in a case registered with Rawat police, police sources said. In an FIR, Dhoke Sahang resident Mohammad Tariq told police on Monday that he was at his shop with Ghulam Abbas at midnight when Malik Ali Riaz, Malik Farhat, Haji Amjad Mehmood and Malik Jahangir and between 100 and 150 other armed individuals arrived. ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has removed its director of sector development for failing to begin development work in the C-15 sector. Even though the CDA awarded the development contract around four months ago, so far the work has not begun. لیک میلنگ سے تنگ ملک ریاض کی میڈیا میں انٹری اسلام آباد: بزنس ٹائیکون اور بحریہ ٹاون گروپ کے مالک ملک ریاض حسین کے اعلیٰ عسکری قیادت اور سینیئر سیاستدانوں سے تو بہت اچھے تعلقات ہیں تاہم وہ خود کو الزامات اور بلیک میلنگ سے بچانے کے لیے اب میڈیا انڈسٹری میں بھی قدم جمانے کا ارادہ رکھتے ہیں. ملک ریاض، ملک کے امیر ترین اور بااثر تاجروں میں شمار ہوتے ہیں، وہ ایک ایسے ارب پتی ہیں، جنھیں کرپشن کے الزامات کا بھی سامنا کرنا پڑا اور انھیں ہاؤسنگ اسکیموں اور خیراتی سرگرمیوں کی وجہ سے بھی جانا جاتا ہے. لیکن اب 66 سالہ ملک ریاض ایک 'میڈیا امپائر' قائم کرنا چاہتے ہیں، جس کے بارے میں ان کا خیال ہے کہ وہ اسے اپنے تجارتی مقاصد کے فروغ اور اُن لوگوں کو روکنے کے لیے استعمال کریں گے جو ان کا نام بدنام کرنا چاہتے ہیں. وفاقی دارالحکومت اسلام آباد کے باہر بحریہ ٹاؤن میں اپنی رہائش گاہ پر خبر رساں ادارے رائٹرز کو انٹرویو دیتے ہوئے ملک ریاض کا کہنا تھا، 'میں بہت جلد میڈیا انڈسٹری میں قدم رکھوں گا، میں صرف ایک نہیں بلکہ بہت سارے ٹی وی چینلز کا آغاز کروں گا'. ملک ریاض کا کہنا تھا، 'میں نے فیصلہ کیا ہے کہ بلیک میلرز کو روکنے کے لیے اس سے بہتر اور کوئی راستہ نہیں کہ آپ میڈیا میں چلیں جائیں'. اسلام آباد کے باہر ایک پر فضا مقام پر واقع بحریہ ٹاؤن میں ایفل ٹاور اور مجسمہ آزادی بھی تعمیر کیا گیا ہے، یہاں کی سڑکوں پر دھول مٹی ڈھونڈنے سے نہیں ملتی جبکہ جابجا موجود گھاس تھائی لینڈ سے منگوائی گئی ہے. بحریہ ٹاؤن کے پرائیوٹ گارڈز بھی 24 گھنٹے ڈیوٹی پر موجود رہتے ہیں. کھلا اعتراف! ملک ریاض کا کہنا تھا کہ وہ پاکستان میں چھٹے بڑے ٹیکس دہندہ ہیں، انھوں نے کھلے عام کہا کہ وہ ٹاپ سیاستدانوں، ججوں اور ملک کی خفیہ ایجنسی انٹرسروسز انٹیلی جنس (آئی ایس آئی) کے اراکین کو بھی رشوت دے چکے ہیں. تاہم رائٹرز کے مطابق فوج کے شعبہ تعلقات عامہ نے ملک ریاض کے ان الزامات پر کوئی رائے دینے سے انکار کردیا. ملک ریاض کا کہنا تھا، 'اگر میں اپنی جانب سے ادا کی گئی سب سے بڑی رشوت کی رقم آپ کو بتاؤں، تو آپ کو ہارٹ اٹیک ہوجائے گا'. یاد رہے کہ 2012 میں ملک ریاض نے اعتراف کیا تھا کہ انھوں نے عدالتی معاملات اپنے حق میں سازگار کروانے کے لیے ملک کے چیف جسٹس کے بیٹے کو رقم ادا کی تھی. یہ بھی پڑھیں:رشوت نہیں دی بلکہ بلیک میل ہوا ، ملک ریاض مذکورہ کیس اب بھی جاری، تاہم التواء کا شکار ہے. دوسری جانب ملک ریاض کو قومی احتساب بیورو (نیب) کی جانب سے بھی کرپشن کے مختلف الزامات میں تفتیش کا سامنا ہے. ان الزامات میں زمین پر غیر قانونی قبضہ اورسرکاری جائیداد کو کوڑیوں کے دام اپنے نام الاٹ کروانے میں سیاستدانوں کی حمایت حاصل کرنا بھی شامل ہے. تاہم جب نیب سے ملک ریاض کے حوالے سے سوال کیا گیا تو بیورو کا کہنا تھا کہ وہ انفرادی کیسز پر بیان نہیں دے سکتا. ملک ریاض نے اپنے اوپر لگائے گئے الزامات کی تردید کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ انھیں ٹی وی چینلز کے ایک ایسے پلیٹ فارم کی ضرورت ہے جو ان کی ساکھ کا دفاع کرسکے. ان کا کہنا تھا، 'میں میڈیا میں نہیں جانا چاہتا، لیکن اس مسئلے سے نمٹنے کا کوئی اور راستہ نہیں ہے'. انھوں نے امید ظاہر کی کہ پاکستان کے نیوز سیکٹر میں ان کی موجودگی ان کے خیراتی کاموں کو اجاگر کرنے میں بھی مددگار ثابت ہوگی. واضح رہے کہ ملک ریاض نے اس سے قبل بول ٹی وی چینل کا لائسنس حاصل کیا تھا، جسے انھوں نے 2013 میں سافٹ ویئر کمپنی ایگزیکٹ کو منتقل کردیا، جس کی دستاویزات پیمرا کے پاس موجود ہیں، تاہم ملک ریاض اس بات سے انکار کرتے آئے ہیں کہ وہ کبھی بول کے ساتھ ملوث رہے ہیں. بول کو اُس وقت بندش کا سامنا کرنا پڑا جب گذشتہ برس ایگزیکٹ کے خلاف مبینہ طور پر جعلی ڈگریاں فروخت کرنے کے الزام کے تحت تحقیقات کا آغاز کیا گیا. عسکری تعلقات؟ 30 سال قبل بحیثیت ٹھیکے دار اپنے کیریئر کا آغاز کرنے والے ملک ریاض نے وہ وقت بھی دیکھا جب انھیں اپنی نومولود بیٹی کو ہسپتال سے گھر لانے کے لیے اپنے چاندی کے برتن فروخت کرنے پڑے. ان کی زندگی میں نیا موڑ اس وقت آیا جب 1979 میں انھوں نے ایک دوست سے 15 سو روپے ادھار لے کرفوج کے انجینیئرنگ وِنگ میں ایک ٹھیکے کے لیے درخواست دی. یہ ٹھیکہ پاکستانی فوج کے ساتھ ان کے طویل المدتی تعلقات کی بنیاد ثابت ہوا. اب ملک ریاض کئی ہزار ایکڑ پر مبنی 5 ترقیاتی منصوبوں میں فوج کے ساتھ شراکت دار ہیں. تاہم اس حوالے سے بھی خبریں گردش کر رہی ہیں کہ پاکستان کے موجودہ آرمی چیف جنرل راحیل شریف کے دور میں فوج کے ساتھ ان کے تعلقات اتنے موثر نہیں رہے، تاہم فوج نے اس حوالے سے کوئی تبصرہ کرنے سے انکار کردیا. دوسری جانب ملک ریاض نے بھی ان افواہوں کی تردید کردی. ان کا کہنا تھا، 'اگر میرے جنرل راحیل شریف کے ساتھ تعلقات نہ ہوتے تو کیا یہ مشترکہ منصوبے بند نہ ہوجاتے؟' ساتھ ہی ان کا کہنا تھا کہ 'میں فوج کا دوست ہوں، میں ادارے کا دوست ہوں.'

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority has decided to auction commercial plots in the new commercial hub of the city ‘Finance and trade Centre, Johar Town,’ on soft terms, besides relaxing building bylaws for facilitating construction of skyscrapers. The LDA has introduced an instalment-based payment plan for commercial plots which will be sold through auction.
