Rawalpindi has launched a new system using drones and a citywide camera network to monitor traffic violations and enhance road safety.

Chief Technology Officer Farhan Aslam stated that drones will operate in crowded areas, allowing wardens to swiftly address violations like underage driving, riding without a helmet, one-way violations, and other dangerous behaviour.

The city's new e-challan system, linked to the Safe City Command and Control Centre, issued 600 challans within its first four days of activation.

More than 2,000 cameras have been installed at 359 locations to ensure safer travel, reduce accidents, and improve monitoring on major routes.

Pakistan Railways has achieved a record revenue of Rs 83 billion in the past 11 months, marking an increase of Rs 6 billion compared to the same period last year.
Passenger trains contributed Rs 42 billion, freight trains Rs 29 billion, and other sources Rs 12 billion.
Karachi Division led revenue generation, followed by Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan divisions.
