A dirty oven is a surprisingly expensive problem 🔥

Here's what most tenants don't know: baked-on grease is so hard to remove that sometimes the oven has to be taken out, deep-cleaned and refitted - that's three costs in one. Straight from your deposit 💸.

Two easy habits 👇 📄 Bake on a lined tray 🍗 Using the rack? Slide a paper-lined tray underneath to catch the drips

And if something spills - clean it while it's fresh. Heat bakes it on for good.

A cracked induction hob is not normal wear ⚡

Here’s what most tenants don’t know: if something falls from the cabinet onto the hob, the glass cracks - and that’s damage, not wear. Straight from your deposit 💸.

Extractor hoods vibrate and slowly shift heavy items in the cabinet above

Here’s what most tenants don’t realise: you can’t replace just the damaged part of a worktop - the entire thing comes out. And the bigger the worktop, the bigger the bill (straight from your deposit 💸).

Two simple habits keep it safe 👇 🍲

Never put hot pots straight down - always use a board or a trivet 🍳

Wipe spills fast - a lot of water standing for too long makes the surface swell 💧

That’s it. Cook freely, just protect the surface.
