As Easter approaches, we wish you peace, joy around the table and unforgettable moments spent with your loved ones in the heart of Małopolska. 💛
If you’re planning a festive stroll, Kraków has some special events in store for you that are well worth seeing:
🧺 Blessing of the Food („Święconka”)
📅 4 April (Holy Saturday), 1.00 pm
📍 Main Square (stage by the Town Hall Tower)
This is a unique opportunity to witness the traditional blessing of food in the very heart of the city. The food is blessed by Kraków’s clergy, and the event is accompanied by a colourful market featuring regional produce.
🎡 Emaus Fair
📅 6 April (Easter Monday), 9.00 am – 4.00 pm
📍 Kościuszki, Senatorska and Kasztelańska Streets (Salwator)
The most famous fair in Kraków! Here you’ll find stalls selling traditional toys, regional delicacies and a unique atmosphere.
👹 The Siuda Baba Show
📅 6 April (Easter Monday), 12:30 pm
📍 Main Square
An encounter with one of Poland’s last remaining pagan traditions. Siuda Baba is a sooty figure who, according to legend, is looking for successors. Smearing your face with soot brings good luck for the whole year!
🛡️ Rękawka Festival
📅 7 April (the Tuesday after Easter), 11.30 am – 6.00 pm
📍 Krakus Mound
A true journey back in time to the early Middle Ages. At Krakus Mound, you’ll see spectacular re-enactments of warriors’ battles, ancient crafts and rituals honouring ancestors.
Easter in Kraków is a time when tradition meets the magic of the city in spring. 🌼
We are delighted to be your base for exploring the city and warmly encourage you to experience these events. 🤗
