It’s the end of an era! Yesterday we did the Portuguese equivalent of exchanging contracts on the sale of the villa. So many great memories for us and our guests over the years. We are saying a fond farewell this week.

Great opportunity for those with preschoolers, not tied to school holidays and able to travel in the cheaper and quieter non-school times. May, June, September, and October are perfect months weatherwise with little ones. And flights tend to be cheaper.

We have always been well set up for babies and children, having travelled a lot with our own. Both our boys went to Cabanas for the first time aged 5 months.

The villa has 2 cots and 2 high chairs, perfect if you have twins or more likely are two couples with one baby each fancying a first holiday away with the support of like minded babysittters.
We have had quite a few extended families - there is a downstairs bedroom and bathroom perfect for grandparents.
We also have a playpen, changing mat, microwave steriliser, lots of plastic cups and plates, hand blender and microwave as well as a fine collection of children's DVDs to give you a little peace! Oh and a buggy you are welcome to take to the beach and not worry about the sand and suncream!

Can’t promise they’ll love the beach as much as these two but it is gorgeous!

Everywhere in Cabanas is walkable and there is a great Boardwalk along the seafront perfect for a buggy.

Prices include all utilities, WiFi, final clean, bedlinen and towels (you will need to take your own pool / beach towels) and meeting with our local agents, a lovely English couple who live in Cabanas. Price for 7 nights for the villa based on 6 people. Any babies in cots are free in addition.

What a miss! Bring your grandparents along! We have a downstairs bedroom and bathroom perfect for them.

This was a very special holiday with my late father for his 90th birthday, beautifully modelling the pool!
