LISBON METRO - TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF CAIS DO SODRÉ STATION BETWEEN AUGUST 8TH AND 26TH
During this period, metro trains on the Green Line will be run between Telheiras and Baixa-Chiado, in both directions.
Trains on the Cascais Line which arrive and depart at Cais do Sodré, will not have direct connection to the metro at that station during this period.
Between August 8th and 26th, Cais do Sodré metro station will be temporarily closed to the public as part of the construction work for the future Circular metro line. The station will reopen on August 27th. This closure is necessary for the ex*****on of railway signaling works, integrated into the preparation and modernization of the network for the future operational configuration of the Circular metro line and intended to guarantee its compatibility with the existing infrastructure.
The Circular metro line will connect Rato to Cais do Sodré, adding more than two km to the network and two new stations: Estrela and Santos. The project will allow the current Yellow and Green lines to be connected, creating a new circular ring in the center of Lisbon.
