There is more than one way to succeed in this industry, and I have huge respect for agents who manage multiple listings, grow their brands fast, and thrive under that kind of pressure. 🙌🏡🏡✨
It takes real stamina, skill and resilience to juggle so many moving parts at once, and many of my colleagues do it brilliantly.👏
But I knew early on that model was not for me.
Since I started my business it was never about playing the numbers game. I wanted to live by what I believe in and I was passionate enough to test my own theory - that selling one property at a time, with complete focus and care, could lead to better outcomes for the client.🙏
So I chose a quieter, slower, more intentional route to take on just one property at a time and pour all of my energy into selling it within a week. 💫
It meant saying no to fast growth. It meant turning away listings that did not align. And it meant accepting that my success would not always be visible or easily understood by others.
But it also meant something far more important, a better experience for my clients. 🤝
This model is not easy. It requires deep knowledge of the local market, pricing strategy, buyer profiles, market trends and timing. It demands intuition, resilience, confidence, and the willingness to tell a client the truth, even if it costs you the listing. 💸
Because if it is not sellable, I will not take it on.
Where the traditional model offers more protection to the agent, mine puts the pressure on me to get it right the first time. 🕓
And in the UK, where the completion process can be long, slow and unpredictable, that pressure is very real. ⏳
Solicitors are often underpaid and overworked. Files stack up. Disputes arise. Communication breaks down. No wonder so many people describe moving house as one of the most stressful events of their lives. 🤯
But imagine a different future.
Fewer properties, better fees, more time, more care. A world where agents are not competing but collaborating. Where solicitors can breathe and do better work. Where homebuyers and sellers feel safe, seen and supported. 😃
Because a happy home is not just a transaction. It is the foundation for everything else, the relationships, health, careers, parenting, peace of mind. 🙏💙
So no, I’m not interested in listing twenty houses at once and hoping that half make it through. I built my business on focus, care, and results and I’ll continue to believe in what I’ve created.
One day, I envision more agents choosing a model that values fewer listings, quicker moves, better client relationships, and commissions that reflect real work, while actually enjoying their days. 🤩
This is the kind of experience I believe our industry should stand for. 🙌✨
