New builds in rural Portugal don't exist. Or rather, they didn't.
It's not that I avoid them out of principle. It's simply that there was nothing to point people towards. The housing stock here is old, often beautiful, always characterful, and frequently a decade-long project before it actually feels like home.
I know this because when people get stuck, with bureaucracy, with builders, with damp walls that refuse to dry, they often end up knocking on my door.
The dream is always the same: a simpler life. A coffee at the village square. A swim in the river on a hot afternoon. Work that travels with you, from a home office with a view.
The reality, for many, gets complicated somewhere along the way.
Côja Vida is the first project in a long time that makes me genuinely excited to send people in a different direction. 17 new homes in Côja, Arganil, crafted from sustainable solid wood, filled with natural light, and built to Class A energy efficiency. Warm in winter, cool in summer, and a five-minute walk from the village, ten from the river beach.
For once, you can step into a different life without the hassle. And I mean that, after I help you settle in, you won't need me. You'll be too busy living the life you came here for. ☕🌊
I've partnered with the developer on this project, which means you can get my personal guidance every step of the way. I'd love to help you figure out whether this is the right fit for you, no pressure, just an honest conversation.
