Dear friends, clients, and followers: as we navigate 2026—a year that began with such turbulence in Portugal—we have much to be grateful for. We started the year at Casa da Cerca with someone we will never forget: the lovely Susan, a Canadian writer who stayed with us through January, February, and March, and who continues to share her vision of a just and equal world for all.
We have since welcomed couples and families from the Netherlands, Australia, Sweden, Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Canada, and we are looking forward to the arrival of German families—one of whom has already become part of the Casa da Cerca family. We had a scare in June when our dear guest René suffered a heart attack; fortunately, he recovered and is still here to tell the tale. We did everything we could to assist him until his return home—an expression of the empathy that is so central to who we are.
Thank you all for your trust and for respecting the space we have chosen to share with you.
Caros amigos, clientes, seguidores, neste ano de 2026, que em Portugal se iniciou com tanta torbulência, temos de estar muito Gratos, porque iniciámos o ano na Casa da Cerca com uma pessoa que jamais esqueceremos, a "linda"Susan, canadian writer que se alojou na Casa da Cerca Janeiro, Fevereiro e Março e continua a partilhar connosco a sua visão para um Mundo justo e igual para todos...
E seguiram-se casais e familias dos Paises Baixos, Austrália, Suécia, Portugal, Espanha, Itália, voltamos ao Canadá, Irlanda e esperamos Familias alemãs, uma delas já faz parte da casa. Tivemos um susto em Junho com o nosso querido cliente René, que sofeu um ataque cardiaco, mas superou e está cá para continuar a contar a história, e ajudámos em tudo o que podemos até ao seu regresso a casa.
É a empatia pelos outros que também faz parte de nós.
