🇬🇧 One of the questions we receive most often is why we ask guests for passport or identif**ation details before check-in.

All accommodation providers in Portugal are required to collect and report certain guest information to the relevant authorities as part of national accommodation regulations. The obligation applies to all accommodation providers, not just Hestia.

We understand this can sometimes come as a surprise, particularly for first-time visitors to Portugal, which is why we always aim to make the process as simple and transparent as possible.

If you have any questions before your arrival, our team is always happy to help.

🇵🇹 Uma das perguntas que recebemos com mais frequência é porque é que pedimos os dados do passaporte ou documento de identif**ação antes do check-in.

Todos os alojamentos em Portugal têm a obrigação legal de recolher e comunicar determinadas informações dos hóspedes às autoridades competentes. Esta obrigação aplica-se a todos os operadores de alojamento em geral, não apenas à Hestia.

Compreendemos que isto possa ser uma surpresa para quem visita Portugal pela primeira vez, por isso tentamos sempre tornar o processo simples e transparente.
