There are young companies defined by a distinctly mature vision and a precise sense of purpose.

WISEGUYS PROPERTIES, founded by Miguel Almeida and Alexandre Cuvier in 2023, is one of them. Both Portuguese and based in Lisbon, they share a longstanding interest in architecture, its narratives, its cultural weight, and its historical continuity. Informed by the visual tradition that has long documented Europe’s architectural heritage, WISEGUYS PROPERTIES approaches architecture through the medium of film.

Alexandre, whose background spans architecture and real estate, oversees production, while Miguel, a documentary filmmaker, shapes the project’s visual direction. Together, they have established a practice centred on documenting and reframing architectural heritage.

Their work has included access to private residences designea by architects such as Raul Lino, Jean-Claude Forestier and Aires Mateus, among other significant figures working in Portugal.

Marked by a rigorous approach, their films offer a considered perspective on the relationship between space authorship and context, bringing into view works that often remain largely unseen.
