European Workshop of Waterfront Urban Design

European Workshop of Waterfront Urban Design The intensive program European Workshop of Waterfront and Urban Design had its first edition in 2010.

This IP is organized by a commission of professors and students from the ULHT’s (Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias) School of Communication, Architecture, Arts and Information Technologies (ECATI). EWWUD’s previous editions gathered about 80 students from several European and North American universities, who worked together for two weeks.

The intervention area of EWWUD 2014 will be located between Ribeira de Caparide and Cascais waterfront. We will work and stay at “Fundação O Século”, a large building facing the Atlantic Ocean.

Accommodation for teachers and students are located on the first floor while studio space and cantine/restaurant are on the ground floor. Teachers will stay in individual rooms newly decorated, with private bathroom. Students will be sleeping in dormitories with separate male/female bathrooms.

This is a nonprofit welfare institution that has a privileged location and very simple but charming rooms.
