Just arrived to Lisbon? It's the perfect timing! Parties and concerts pop up throughout the city. Check the "arraial" of Renovar A Mouraria, a local ngo doing a great job with migrants and refugees, among other things. Great food, relaxed concerts and a super nice atmosphere. Don't miss it!

Hidden spot, a cozy and amazing getaway from the city?
Go to Cais do Sodré and take the boat to Cacilhas. It's a 10 min. boat ride (about €1,50 - urban commute). The view over Lisbon is amazing, crossing the river is something. Cacilhas is a place of quiet and you can enjoy a nice walk by the river. If you're lucky enough, you can spot one of these sunset concerts at Há Música na Casa da Cerca (free). Enjoy!

Do you know Casa do Alentejo? Enter the magic door in the heart of downtown Lisbon and you'll be a world away. Rich tiles, rihad-style courtyard and truly amazing food make it for an unforgettable atmosphere. The cafeteria serves authentic and delicious food from the south of Portugal (the tomato soup is amazing). They also have frequent cultural events, as they have a public and community scope. Don't miss it.

In the mood for a relaxed drink or some food? Check Renovar A Mouraria, a local NGO doing an amazing work in the neighbourhood, especially with kids and migrants. With a nice bar & restaurant (mid-afternoon on), you'll be enjoying yourself and supporting their work. How easy is that? 😊😊😊
(it might be tricky to find, as it's an inside street, but definitely worth the effort).

Rainy weather? Check Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, a true gem in the heart of the city: Modern Art, Museum, several restaurants and cafeterias, gift shops, and a luxurious garden. If you're lucky to secure tickets for a concert, do not hesitate. Open on Mondays too.
