It's almost Christmas Season and we thought would be nice to let you know how we celebrate it here in Portugal 🏵️ 🍇 🍀🎄
The Christmas tree is set up on the 1st Dec and we decorate our homes with nativity scenes and socks hanging from the fireplace.
The families gather on the 24th at the dinner table and a some wine 😋 For dessert, there is always ''Bolo Rei'' filled with candied fruits or nuts, and a huge range of delicious traditional desserts. The presents are open in this night but some families also open it in the early mornig of the 25th.
On the New Year's Eve it is typical to eat 12 grapes and make one wish for each!
