Located between Praça do Comércio and Campo das Cebolas, right in the heart of Lisbon, our apartments (AL) of Porta do Mar welcome you.

With public transport available at our doorstep, including the Ferry Terminal, in an Art Deco building dated 1931, the Metro Station (Terreiro do Paço) and several bus and tram spots, you will find yourself discovering the intricate streets of Lisbon in no time. Actually, you do not even need any transportation! Porta do Mar is within a 2-minutes’ walk of the Praça do Comercio (Comercio Square), 5

minutes’ walk of Praça do Rossio (Rossio Square) and the Sé Cathedral, and a 10 to 15 minutes’ walk to Alfama and the Castelo de São Jorge (Saint George Castle). You can walk to the restaurants, bars and shops of Chiado and Bairo Alto or to the high street shopping of the Avenida da Liberdade within 10 to 15 minutes. Totally renovated and refurbished, our historical building is designed to be a place for you to enjoy the best in modern comfort in a truly authentic setting. Porta do Mar, actually embedded in a church from the 16th century Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Conceição Velha is located in the heart of Lisbon’s historical center (Baixa). Our location (Rua dos Bacalhoeiros) is destined to be the ultimate prime of Lisbon directly linked by the renovated square of Novo Campos das Cebolas (nesting the José Saramago Foundation in Casa dos Bicos) to the new Cruiser Terminal. All our apartments are re-constructed to receive plenty of the renown sun-light of Lisbon and offer a fully equipped kitchen (featuring a stove, oven, microwave and dish-washer), high-speed (fiber) Wi-fi connection and Cable TV. All our apartments are spacious with high ceilings, which is very hard to find in the historic center, and thus suitable for longer (residential) stays as well.
