8 years ago, in August 2018, we became the proud owners of our land in Fuseta. Happy, excited, full of plans.

We had no idea a six-and-a-half year journey and adventure was about to begin. One that asked for both grit and grace.

It took 3 years to get the building license. Then 3 more years of construction, and another 6 months for the final permit to rent and reside. We ticked every box on the list: bureaucratic delays, missing documents, supply chain issues, absentee workers, contractor troubles. What we expected to take 1.5 years of construction became 3.

Patience. Letting go. Embracing uncertainty. That’s what this adventure taught us. Along the way we discovered our resilience, our vulnerability, and the power of supporting each other. It makes us very proud!

Today, Celebra a Vida Resort is exactly as we pictured it.

Summer temperatures in Portugal and much of Europe. Time to cool down!

We sipped our way through 6 Portuguese summer drinks: from a crisp vinho verde to cocktails with port and espumante, and a non-alcoholic drink with a long history.

This beautiful little creature visited our guests on their terrace and sliding door.

We gently guided him onto a stick and basket and carried him into the tropical garden, where he now has plants, trees, and plenty of insects to hunt.

The chameleons are most at home right here in the eastern Algarve, in the gardens and pine woodland around the Ria Formosa.

From above, you can really see it: Fuseta, nestled in the heart of the Ria Formosa Natural Park. With Celebra a Vida Resort just around the corner. The beach, the village centre and the train station are all just a short walk away.

Baria – brunch, tapas, pizza and sunset drinks by the water

Hidden behind Faro station, inside the Parque Ribeirinho, there’s a beautiful spot most visitors don’t know it’s there. On the parking lot follow the path towards the ria formosa, and Baria appears in front of you.

It’s a small restaurant, bar and tapas spot with an easy boho beach vibe. Brunches, fresh salads, pizzas, tapas to share. And for us their signature dish is: traditional Portuguese bifanas, baked right into pizza dough, in several varieties including a vegetarian one.
Pure comfort food!

Show up for a lazy brunch/lunch, or time your visit for golden hour. The sunset view over the ria is great!
