there are numbers that are easy to count, and others that carry much more than a number ever could...

one hundred reviews means one hundred moments in which someone stopped, looked back at their stay, and chose to leave us a few words...

some spoke about the view...others about the quiet, the house, the long dinners, the pool, or the feeling of being together...
and somewhere between all those words are the small things we rarely see from our side — a birthday celebrated here, a family reunited, friends staying up late, children running through the garden, someone sitting quietly by the river.

so today, reaching 100 airbnb reviews with a rating of 4.94 feels less like a milestone and more like a reason to stop for a moment and say thank you.

thank you for choosing our home, for treating it with care, for recommending us, for returning, and especially for taking the time to leave a few words behind...we read them all...

but for us, this place has never been just a beautiful view.

it is years of work.
years of getting up and doing what had to be done.
cutting the grass one more time. fixing what broke. carrying, cleaning, planting, waiting, starting again.

and somehow, through all of that, the Quinta do Regato Douro became part of us.

so did Rio de Moinhos...the roads we know without thinking.
the hills we have looked at all our lives.
the river that has always been there.
the people, the land, the seasons changing around us.

there are places you visit.
and there are places that become part of who you are.

this is ours.

the years.
the effort.
the care.
the days when it was hard.
the days when it was worth it.

maybe that is the most beautiful part of the Quinta.

not the pool.
not the view.
not even the river.

but the love and work that came before all of it.

we love this land....and we are proud to keep taking care of our little piece of it.
