Reflecting about the wedding of my friends amd my time here, I can't help but to be grateful. Grateful to be included in the celebration of Rik and Maria's love and start of a new life outside of Vila do Conde.

My biggest concern about moving was having friends. When my husband and I moved here in 2021, we knew no one. We met locals 3 days in by attending a meetup.

The next day, we met 2 American expats walking down the street. They were at this wedding. A handful of the people we know we met within the first two months of living here. Others at wedding we have met here and there over time.

Porto is full of incredible Portuguese and Brazilian people, along with people from all over the world. In this wedding, the husband is from the Netherlands and the wife is American.

Whether living here retired, working, going to university, moving a family here- you will have friends
