The town has been blessed with multiple beaches facing differing directions, which ensures that there is always at least one beach suitable for surfing, no matter your ability. But you can also find challenging hiking trails, quiet roads for cycling and deep-sea fishing trips departing from Sagres harbour.

And if you're able to rent a car, Sagres can be used as a base to explore the southwestern side of the Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina, an area of remote beaches and stunning wild beauty.
