Just a 5min drive away from quinta das flores explore the beautiful Gaios Trail which is located next to the small village of Vale de Gaios, in the parish of Midões. Most of its route runs parallel to the Cavalos river, a tributary of the Mondego river.
The Trail is a path that provides privileged contact with nature. Hiking and mountain biking are some of the most popular activities.
Along the entire course of the river Cavalos, several water falls and watermills stand out , reflections of a rural experience.💚💚💚

Only a 20 min drive from us. Its great for walking, cycling or rollerblading, and crosses the beautiful Rio Dao. You can wonder down little tracks off the ecopista to a river beaches and stop for a while with a picnic to relax. before continuing the trail and trying some of the exercise spots along the way. Great day out for the family. 💚💚

The Ecopista do Dão in Central Portugal is a paved former railway track in Central Portugal. We decided to bike the 49 km stretch.
