Vårt rökfria kollektivboende har fungerat mycket bra sedan vi startade i början av 2020. Huset ligger i ett lugnt och grönt bostadsområde. Vi är en blandning av vuxna med svensk och internationell bakgrund som är företagare, yrkesverksamma eller studerar på avancerad nivå eller inom en kvalificerad yrkesutbildning.

Vi uppskattar särskilt boende som har tidigare erfarenhet av kollektivboende, som vill bo i kollektiv under en längre period i stället för att använda boendet som en tillfällig lösning under några månader, och som är villiga att bidra till husets praktiska skötsel och positiva atmosfär. Det innebär bland annat vardagligt ansvar såsom återvinning, att hålla gemensamma utrymmen i ordning och att visa hänsyn till andra.

Huset ligger i Lundby i Göteborg, med goda förbindelser via spårvagnslinjerna 5, 6 och 10. Det är enkelt att pendla till centrum och Volvo Cars i Torslanda. Volvo Trucks/AB Volvo och Lindholmen ligger på bekvämt gång- eller cykelavstånd.

De flesta delar av Göteborg kan nås inom cirka 20–40 minuter, och flera vackra naturområden ligger bara en kort promenad från huset.

Huset har generösa gemensamma ytor både inomhus och utomhus, som alla boende har tillgång till. Trots husets storlek är boendemiljön lugn och fridfull, och de boende upplever ofta att de har hela huset för sig själva.

Rum blir oftast lediga omkring den 1 augusti eller den 1 september. Vi prioriterar personer som genuint vill bo i kollektiv under en längre tid, snarare än personer som enbart söker en tillfällig boendelösning.

Vi strävar efter att skapa ett varierat, välfungerande och balanserat kollektiv. Vi tar hänsyn till faktorer såsom livsstil, dagliga rutiner, tider i hemmet och användningen av gemensamma utrymmen, exempelvis köket och tvättstugan.

Alla boende bidrar till en gemensam städbudget. Den täcker professionell städning av de gemensamma utrymmena samt gemensamma hushållsartiklar såsom toalettpapper, hushållspapper, filter till dammsugaren och rengöringsprodukter. Detta sparar tid, pengar och arbete för de boende och hjälper oss samtidigt att upprätthålla ett trivsamt hem.

När ett rum blir ledigt annonserar vi i Facebook-grupper för bostäder och kollektivboenden i Göteborg. Kontakta e-postadressen som anges i inlägget först om du har sett en aktuell annons som bekräftar att ett rum är ledigt.

Vi erbjuder INTE boende för par som vill dela rum, barn eller husdjur av något slag.

Rökelse, cigarettrök och annan typ av rök, vejpning samt användning av kemikalier eller andra ämnen som sprids i luften är strängt förbjudet. Överträdelse kan leda till omedelbar uppsägning av boendet med 30 dagars uppsägningstid.

Welcome to our page!

Our non-smoking collective house has thrived since we started in early 2020. The house is in a quiet, green, residential neighborhood. We are a mix of adults from Swedish and international backgrounds who are entrepreneurs, working professionals, or students pursuing advanced study or training.

We particularly value residents who have previous experience of collective living, want to live in a collective for longer periods rather than as a short bridge of a few months, and who are willing to contribute to the practical upkeep and positive atmosphere of the house. This includes everyday responsibilities such as recycling, keeping shared spaces orderly, and being considerate of others.

The house is located in Lundby, Gothenburg, with easy access to tram lines 5, 6, and 10. It is a short commute to the city centre and Volvo Cars in Torslanda, while Volvo Trucks/AB Volvo and Lindholmen are within easy walking or cycling distance.

Most parts of Gothenburg can be reached within approximately 20–40 minutes, and several beautiful nature areas are just a short walk from the house.

The house has generous indoor and outdoor common spaces that all residents are welcome to use. Despite its size, the household is calm and peaceful, and residents often feel as though they have the house to themselves.

Rooms most commonly become available around 1 August or 1 September. We prioritise people who genuinely want to live in a collective over the longer term, rather than those seeking only a temporary housing solution.

We aim to maintain a diverse, compatible, and well-balanced household. We consider factors such as lifestyle, daily routines, household schedules, and the use of shared facilities such as the kitchen and laundry room.

All residents contribute to a shared cleaning budget. This covers professional cleaning of the common areas, as well as shared household supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, vacuum-cleaner filters, and cleaning products. This arrangement saves residents time, money, and effort while helping us maintain a pleasant home.

When a room becomes available, we advertise it in Facebook groups for housing and collective living in Gothenburg. Please contact the email address listed in the announcement post if you have seen a current advertisement confirming that a room is available.

We do NOT offer accommodation for couples sharing a room, children, or pets of any kind.

Incense, cigarette or other kinda of smoke, va**ng, or any use of chemicals in the air are strictly forbidden. Violation is grounds for immediate (30 days notice) eviction.

Many people who like to live with other adults like to plant things. Our yard does not get light in the right places and we have no outdoor water source /hose attachment, so we've had a rule about plants from the beginning but were convinced during our first two years to make exceptions for people who promised that the situation would differ from my many years of experience living in collectives and seeing many failed planting efforts first-hand.

We have now tested making exceptions to our rule of no personal plants in common areas and no planting in the yard. Both seasons resulted in a lot of dead, unhealthy, ugly plants and pots that people forgot to take care of, and in rare cases where zucchini or herbs did manage to grow and survive were not eaten. The plants made it difficult to mow the lawn, and planters ended up full of weeds instead.

The purpose of this post is to have a permanent link in addition to the stated policy in our house rules that is in a link in the "About" section.

We have one room in our tranquil, friendly, and fun-loving international collective available on January 1st - our brightest room (4400 SEK plus 242 SEK/m shared cleaning service and supplies).

Interested in being a part of a supportive and healthy, vibrant, and diverse international environment to call home where you can always have plenty of tranquil alone time and yet always find someone and something interesting to do or talk about when you want company?

We might have matcha tea tiramisu and Japanese Animé, a game of Seven Wonders, or an after-work to celebrate people being done with exams during a typical week.

We ended up calling ourselves the Gothenburg International Vortex House because it is so easy to come to the kitchen for a cup of tea and end up staying for hours laughing and talking about every topic under the sun - a Vortex of conversation and activity, so to speak. It is often so absorbing it is hard to extract oneself to do laundry, study, etc. People have formed deep friendships here that will last a liftetime.

We are located in Lundby on Hisingen.

Rent includes 10000/10000 Mbit internet, electricity, heating, water etc.

We are prioritizing female international candidates to keep the house an international environment with gender balance. We have a diverse range of ages and balance of students and professionals. We are a fun-loving, talkative, and supportive group that includes a biologist, Volvo Cars test analyst/thesis worker, software and civil engineers, a film production professional, psychology student/coach/recruiter, sales guru, a Volvo Cars user experience recruiter, and event company entrepreneur.

Our “perfect” new housemates are:
* Non-smokers
* Responsible drinkers (or non-drinkers) interested in healthy living but tolerant of different appraoches to healthy living and diets, from paleo/lcf/keto/carnivore to vegan/vegetarian.
* Probably between 25-40 ish years old, but age is just a number. (We want you to have some experience living in different co-living settings away from your parents before you come here...and maturity with a young-at-heart mindset.
* Experience living or at least working with a large, diverse group of people of different personalities, ages, nationalities, political views, dietary preferences, etc. for an extended period
* International experience and comfortable speaking English at home
* Curious, open-minded, inclusive, and interested in other people as well as trying new games or activities at least once
* Engaged, open, and flexible, able to get along with people and see their perspective despite differences.

We are looking for social people, but we are also a bit nerdy. If you like strategic board games like Dune it would be a bonus!

Our housemates initiate many interesting activities together and when Corona restrictions are eased, external guests, including board and social games; yoga/exercise/gym/cycling/running activities; cold-bathing/sauna activities; reading and discussing books; baking; sharing holidays like Diwali, American Thanksgiving, Swedish Midsommar, and St. Lucia; travel/excursions for hiking, skiing; garden activities like Badminton, Croquet, and Kubb; movie nights; karaoke nights; and parties with dancing, grilling, etc. (following Corona recommendations of course and not involving extreme drunkenness).

Although you can almost always find someone to hang out with, the house is huge and is usually very tranquil. There is always plenty of space--figuratively and literally--for alone time.

It is often so absorbing it is hard to extract oneself to do laundry, study, etc. People have formed deep friendships here that will last a liftetime.

The rent for Room #5 is 5300 SEK / month.

Rent includes 10000/10000 Mbit internet, electricity, heating, water, laundry room, access to large bath tub with water jets, etc and of course shared kitchen, living room and 2 spatious decks.

There is an additional monthly fee of 242 SEK/month to cover a twice-monthly professional cleaning service and supplies like trashbags, soap, toilet paper, vacumn filters, light bulbs, some common spices, replacing worn pots or broken dishes, and other common-use items.

We prefer women and international candidates at the moment to maintain diversity and a gender balance. We have a diverse range of ages and balance of Swedish and international students and professionals.
