Scam Alert: WhatsApp Accounts Hacked!

We have received several reports of victims being locked out of their WhatsApp accounts after they clicked on links from SMS they received with a 6-digit verification code.

After the scammer takes over the WhatsApp account, he/she may attempt to hack the WhatsApp accounts of the victims` contacts or send requests for money or giftcards to the contacts.

1. If you received an SMS with WhatsApp pin codes, Do NOT click on the link in the SMS if you did not make the request for it. Someone could be attempting to verify your phone number on WhatsApp.

2. Do NOT respond to unusual requests even if they are sent by your contacts

3. Call your contacts to verify the request first.

4. Set up the two-step verification to protect your WhatsApp account

Spread the word! Don`t let your friends and family be the next victim.

– A new link road connecting Central to KPE and TPE(PIE) is opening ahead of schedule!

From 25 Nov 2018, the new link road will provide an alternative route, and alleviate traffic congestion during the morning peak period.

The following slip roads will also be decommissioned from 25 Nov, 4pm:

- Temporary road linking Punggol East to KPE(ECP)
- Section of link road from TPE Exit 7 leading to Lorong Halus
- Slip road from KPE(TPE) exit to Lorong Halus

This new road is part of a two-phase expansion of the KPE/TPE interchange. Upon completion of both phases by 2Q 2021, the expansion will provide a more direct link to/from KPE and help to alleviate traffic congestion at TPE between Punggol Way and KPE, and the existing access points of Punggol Town.
