New EC rules now mean:
❌ Longer MOP period
❌ Longer privatisation timeline
❌ Deferred Payment Scheme removed
❌ Tougher competition for second-timer buyers

The government is clearly tightening the market to prioritise genuine home ownership. But if current EC launches are still under the OLD rules… what will future launches look like? 👀

I’m at our company town hall now over 4,500 of us at Suntec, listening to our CEO Kelvin Fong share the 2026 outlook.

One thing is clear, this market is very different.

We’re seeing:
•⁠ ⁠Record million-dollar HDB transactions, yet a relatively flat resale price index

•⁠ ⁠Interest rates easing, with many MOP flats entering the resale market

•⁠ ⁠A strong pipeline of new BTO supply, amid global uncertainty

All these together change how everyone should think regardless HDB or private property even if we plan to hold, upgrade or just planning ahead.
