In May 2026, 18 HDB resale flats were sold for S$300,000 or less, which was double the number in April.
This was the highest monthly figure recorded in nearly two years, Shin Min Daily News reported.
According to HDB data, most of these flats were in mature estates, such as Bukit Merah, Queenstown, Jurong West, and Geylang.
The cheapest flat sold was for S$258,000, a two-room unit in Toa Payoh with about 40 years left on its lease.
Most of the others had remaining leases of under 50 years.
As a whole, however, HDB resale prices rose 0.3 per cent month-on-month in May, reversing Aprilβs 0.6 per cent decline, property website 99.co found.
There were also 166 million-dollar resale flats transacted that month.
