A different way to experience our space. 🎙️✨

We recently had the pleasure of collaborating with Cha-Inn from The Curious Chair Pod as she recorded her very first podcast session with her guest at The General Room.

Our semi enclosed area provided a comfortable and relaxed setting for the recording, with just the right ambience for conversations to flow naturally while offering a little more privacy within the space.

The session went smoothly, and we were glad to hear that they enjoyed both the experience and the atmosphere of the space. 🤍

It’s always exciting to see our spaces being used in different ways, whether for focused work, meetings, creative sessions, or in this case, meaningful conversations behind the mic.

We’re usually the ones making sure everyone at The General Room feels at home. This time, we got to sit back, enjoy a good meal, and spend some time together. 🤍🍣

Our team recently headed to SUSHISAMBA for an afternoon of good food, plenty of laughs, and conversations beyond our usual workday.

At The General Room, people have always been at the heart of what we do. We love seeing the daily chats between members, familiar faces coming through our doors, and friendships that grow naturally within the space.

And behind it all is our little team, working together to make TGR a place people enjoy coming back to.

As we celebrate Singapore's National Day this weekend, we asked our members one simple question: "𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲?"

From our vibrant food scene and rich multicultural heritage to the sense of safety, familiarity, and community, every answer was a reminder of the little things that make Singapore such a special place to call home.

🌏 Different cultures. One table. One amazing community. 🍽️✨

Last week, we celebrated Racial Harmony Day with Bites Beyond Borders, an afternoon where food became the bridge that brought our community together.

From satay and mee siam to seafood fried rice, Hong Kong style noodles, fresh salads, curry puffs, and colourful Nyonya kueh, every dish added something special to the table.

The best part? Watching members go back for seconds... and even thirds 😋 while sharing stories, meeting new faces, and taking a well deserved break from the workday.

Moments like these remind us that a coworking space is about so much more than desks and Wi-Fi. It's about creating a place where people feel welcomed, connected, and part of a community.

🥐 When the pastries are so good that members go back for seconds, that's breakfast done right. ☀️

Last week, our members gathered for Buns, Cups & Catch-Ups over a spread of freshly baked buns and yogurt & granola cups from Bread & Butter by XY. From buttery pastries to wholesome breakfast treats, the spread was a crowd favourite and gave everyone the perfect reason to slow down, pull up a seat, and connect before the day got underway. 💛

Beyond the breakfast spread, the morning was filled with warm conversations, familiar faces reconnecting, and new connections being made. It was a lovely reminder that some of the best community moments happen when people come together around good food.
