Welcome back to another episode with MattLamHomes. Today, we are at Harbour View Gardens, a freehold development located in District 5 at Pasir Panjang, part of the Greater Southern Waterfront transformation.
Its strategic location is really ideal for those looking for city-fringe living with amenities easily accessible in the area. Harbour View Gardens is just opposite Viva Vista Shopping Mall or a 6 minute drive away from Vivocity, Singaporeโs largest mall, with many eateries and a FairPrice Xtra for your groceries. For your leisurely needs, West Coast Park, Labrador Park and Henderson Wave are all in the vicinity too. It is also a 7 mins walk to Haw Par Villa MRT & Pasir Panjang MRT.
The space is squarish and good-sized so you will certainly have no trouble with a huge 6-seater dining and 4-seater sofa, tucked against one side to provide ample space for walking. Being on the highest floor of this development, there is an impressive high ceiling of approximately 5 metres of vertical clearance that give you a sense of luxury and roominess. Best of all, this also accommodates tall glass panels that allows natural daylight streaming in.
Initially, the kitchen was an enclosed one provided by the Developers. The owners felt that it would shut out too much daylight and compromise on the corridor space as well. As such, they instructed Developer not to construct the walls of the kitchen so that they can eventually line the perimeters with glass to achieve the best of both worlds of having an enclosed kitchen and yet allowing day light into the corridor space.
All in all, it is an ideal location, accessible city living with a generous size that is very rare in today's market. It is also very rare to find flat floor plate space of above 1000sqft in Pasir Panjang. Most of the recent developments are either penthouse/loft units which we see the 1000sqft splitting into two levels, compromising on the efficiency of space.
