Sold the unit & leaving this place.
I won’t be back here for awhile.
Deal’s done, keys will change hands in couple of months and there’s this specific kind of quiet that hits you driving off.
People may think it’s just taking nice photos, vidoes and opening doors.
It’s not.
It’s months of viewings that go nowhere. Offers that fall through. Hard conversations with a seller who’s tired of waiting, who’s started to wonder if the price was wrong, if the agent was wrong, if they made a mistake trusting the process.
It’s holding steady when they want to react emotionally to a lowball offer.
To finally getting the right buyer, all we need is just one.
This one took longer than any of us wanted. But we got there. And now it’s over, in the way that matters most, as the seller gets to move on to their next chapter.
Driving off, I felt it properly. Not the “yes I closed” kind of happy. The other kind. The kind where you realise you carried something for someone, quietly, for months and now you can settle that down.
We won’t be back at this project for the next few weeks. That part stings a little too. (Unless a seller finds us or a buyer who is looking into this area) 😉
This job gives you that strange mix. Loss and relief in the same breath. LOL.
Nobody sees that side of it.
But it’s most of the job.
p.s if you made it this far, AI is wonderful. I spewed out my raw thoughts through a voice recording, mostly point form, broken sentences and not the most coherent. But somehow, it managed to turn it into this post with feelings I could not explain myself. Pretty wild.
