Natural systems of biology, organisms and natural habitats provide us with endless methods, inspirations to manifest our own built environment in pleasurable, intelligent ways. Started by Yen Yen Wu, GAD explores concerns of design through its fundamentals. Responsive – through use of materials for all their inherent properties and behaviours in atmospheric climates; through understanding that res

ponse necessarily incorporates the element of time, growth and change. Tying together a development of form, substance and time packed in tight package that is without excess, without being superfluous, something we all carry around. It is called our GENOME. Genome is "the total amount of genetic information in the chromosomes of an organism, including its genes and DNA sequences. It represents all the inheritable traits of an organism."

Initiated in 2004, the ‘20 Under 45’ architects
programme by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) seeks to recognise and celebrate young and emerging registered architects in Singapore.

When the call for submissions was announced in
October 2024, the age eligibility was increased to 47 considering significant delays in the commencement and completion of architectural projects due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the rigorous evaluation by a panel made up of public, private and academic representatives, 23 architects met the selection criteria, of whom three were above the age of 45.
