๐ฟ Just completed the 160km Canadian Ski Marathon, the oldest ski Marathon in North America! ๐
Wow, what a journey it has been! This race pushed me to my limits both physically and mentally. With the warm weather and lack of snow, parts of the course were incredibly challenging, with mud and rocks making every stride a battle. ๐
After completing 82km on the first day, I found myself facing some serious doubts about continuing. Several participants were hospitalized due to the tough conditions, and I couldnโt help but feel concerned for my own safety. But deep down, I didnโt want to quit ๐ช
Unfortunately, around the 100km mark, I pulled my hip flexor muscle, adding another layer of pain and difficulty to the already grueling race. Each step felt like a battle, and with over 50km still to go, the doubts crept in. ๐ค
I heard the voices of my loved ones urging me to stop, reminding me that what I had already accomplished was remarkable. And while their support meant the world to me, I knew I couldnโt live with the regret of not finishing if it was still possible. ๐
So, I dug deep, putting one foot in front of the other, until finally, I crossed that finish line. ๐ It wasnโt easy, and it wasnโt pretty, but I did it. And in doing so, I reaffirmed my belief in the power of perseverance and commitment. ๐ซ
Thank you to everyone who supported me along the way. Your encouragement kept me going when the going got tough. And to anyone out there facing their own challenges, remember, with determination and resilience, anything is possible. ๐ฅ
