Over the span of three weeks, Team Olive Tree Estates Ltd and a few key members from our principal business partners in Vietnam, National Housing Organization and Alpha Plus Property Management came together to attend a specially curated Environmental Stewardship training program facilitated by Lawrence Ko.
Lawrence has had decades of both theoretical and practical insight into environmental restoration and conservation and we invited him to help us unpack the importance of our connection with the environment through the ethos of Creation Care, first in the personal and then via the professional arena.
We were challenged to be congruent, unlearning ingrained habits, and relearning the importance of being stewards of nature and the environment to achieve holistic positive social impact for the communities which we are and will be serving.
Digging deeper, we also reflected over local case studies on restoration, preservation, and innovation. Through the sharing of honest personal insights, the no-holds-barred discussions sparked off deep introspection throughout the team.
For us at OTE, having strong shared values is critical. The discussions facilitated by Lawrence and the open sharing which ensued has enabled us to forge better alignment within the team and has helped us to be more authentic in the actions and expressions of our values professionally.
The completion of the training program strengthens our DNA and adds further context and understanding to our collective as we continue our journey to be that enterprise which prioritizes social impact and seeks to find that optimal balance between profit, people and planet.
