Interesting Saturday with my latest buyer Joshua... Being a 1st time buyer he definitely was having a bunch of butterflies in his tummy not knowing what's in the market and the type of long-term strategy he should adopt. We had lunch together a week earlier to work out on the nitty gritty details and now he is ready to start his hunting journey.
The 1st unit was a 6 years old 3-room unit at Fernvale where everything is relatively new. High up on the 19th floor, the view was amazing with parks and river close by. It is also the very first unit I been in without any fan nor air conditioner (very surprising for me).
Next up, I threw in a visit to a 40 years old unit in an area which Joshua is very familiar with and like. The price was slightly cheaper only due to its location and slightly larger unit size. As expected, the building looks kind of tired but offers a much more comfortable feel as it is less dense and yet much closer to everything.
Having seen both end of the spectrum in terms of age vs location vs price vs space vs renovation gave Joshua a clearer idea of what he would like to own and set out his priorities too. I guess I achieved my initial goal of helping him out and looks forward to our step in his house hunting journey.
