2020 might prove to be an exciting year for the core central region (CCR) which consists of the prime districts 9, 10 and 11 plus the Downtown Core and Sentosa, as activity in these regions heats up. Land previously sold in collective sales and land sales here are ripe for new launches and out of the 45 new property launches slated for this year, 20 will be in the CCR.

Analysts are expecting the pricing of new launches in the CCR to be somewhat volatile

Is the oversupply in Singapore's private property market easing?
SINGAPORE'S private housing market is poised for modest price growth next year, amid a resilient leasing market. Singapore may clock a faster pace of economic growth next year, according to Nomura Holdings. Gross domestic product (GDP) is likely to expand 1.3 per cent next year from an expected 0.5 per cent this year, noted the Japanese investment bank yesterday. The tech rally is already evident in recent data. Electronics manufacturing here grew year on year in October for the first time after seven straight months of decline.

Nearly the size of 14 football fields, a sprawling 8.2 ha white site at Kampong Bugis on the Government Land Sales (GLS) reserve list has been made available for application by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) on 5 December.
Located at the mouth of Kallang River and located near to Lavender, Kallang and Bendemeer MRT stations, the 99-year leasehold site has a maximum gross floor area (GFA) of 390,000 sq m, which could yield a maximum of 4,000 housing units, according to URA.

The property market is now broadly stable, but risks from trade rows and geopolitical tensions could still hit the sector, Second Minister for National Development Desmond Lee said yesterday. Mr Lee, noted: "These are signs that the market is not overly exuberant, but growing at a more sustainable pace.

Condominium resale prices rose 0.8 per cent in October from the previous month, faster than the 0.4 per cent increase in September following three straight months of small dips.
Year-on-year, condo resale prices are up 2.0 per cent, while volumes were 14.8 per cent higher. Resale volume was also 6.3 per cent higher than the five-year average volume for the month of October. It's getting to a point where people are concerned whether the Government may intervene to cool property prices.

RESALE prices for non-landed private residential properties in Singapore continued their rise in October following an increase in September, while volumes picked up from a slight dip, according to flash figures from real estate portal SRX Property on Tuesday. Read more at The Business Times.
