[*Announcement of new CEO Appointment*] Congratulations to the new CEO of ERA Marcus Chu

Yesterday, we marked the momentous occasion with an Official CEO Appointment Ceremony at ERA Media Hub as our COO Marcus will be succeeding Jack Chua as the new Chief Executive Officer of ERA with effect from 1 July 2021.

We also gathered our c-suites to have a dialogue with Marcus as we discussed the new vision and direction for ERA to navigate the new normal brought about by the pandemic and how we can continue to be the leading beacon in the real estate industry.

[Announcement of new CEO Appointment] Today, we announced that our Chief Operating Officer Marcus Chu will be succeeding Jack Chua as the new Chief Executive Officer of ERA with effect from 1 July 2021. Jack, who will remain as Executive Chairman of APAC Realty, will continue to provide strategic leadership and have overall executive responsibility for the company’s business.

For his new role as CEO, Marcus will be taking over the helm of the Singapore headquarters and overseeing the business operations as well as day-to-day management of ERA Singapore.

“I am grateful to serve at ERA,” says Marcus. “As CEO, I will continue to further the great work of my predecessor, Mr Jack Chua. Standing on the shoulders of giants, I will set forth to realise my vision for ERA Singapore — to be Asia’s leading Real Estate Agency by providing evolutionary solutions and services to our clients. I will also seek to build a culture that attracts top-tier talents and one where every ERA trusted adviser can excel.”

The separation of the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer roles will also enhance APAC Realty’s corporate governance, allowing for effective oversight by the Board of Directors of the business in the best interest of the Company and its shareholders.

All of us at ERA Singapore thank Jack for all his contributions as he has led the company to its market listing and playing a key role in making ERA the largest international real estate agency in Singapore.

Congratulations to Marcus and we look forward to seeing his new vision on how to grow and strengthen the ERA brand, especially in a post-pandemic climate, and what we can do to make a difference in the industry.
