Shipping your household goods to Germany? Don’t leave customs until the last minute.
If you’re moving your normal residence from outside the EU, certain household goods may qualify for customs relief — but there are conditions you need to meet.
Things like how long you lived outside the EU, how long you’ve owned and used your belongings, what you’re bringing and how you declare them can all matter.
And some categories, including alcohol, to***co, vehicles and restricted goods, require extra attention.
