The Government has announced the removal of the 15-month wait-out period for private residential property owners purchasing a non-subsidised HDB resale flat without an HDB housing loan. This change takes effect immediately following signs of stabilisation in the HDB resale market.
What this means:

Eligible private property owners can now purchase a non-subsidised HDB resale flat immediately after selling their private property.

The exemption is no longer limited to Singapore Citizens aged 55 and above buying a 4-room or smaller resale flat.

The existing 30-month wait-out period for purchasing subsidised HDB flats or new Executive Condominiums from developers remains unchanged.
This policy change provides greater flexibility for private property owners considering a move to the HDB resale market while reflecting the Government's assessment that resale market conditions have stabilised.
