Some important housing changes announced today:

πŸ’° Higher Income Ceilings
β€’ BTO: $14,000 ➑️ $16,000
β€’ EC: $16,000 ➑️ $18,000
β€’ Singles: $7,000 ➑️ $8,000

⚠️ Important for EC Buyers
The new $18,000 income ceiling applies to new EC projects with land tenders closing on/after 24 Aug 2026. It does not apply to existing EC projects or balance units.

Big Change in HDB policy! Many are rejoicing!

As of 28 July 2026, the 15-month wait-out period for private owners buying a non-subsidised HDB resale flat is officially removed. No HDB loan, no wait β€” you can buy first and sell your private property within 6 months.

MND says it’s about flexibility for right-sizers and seniors. My take? This also frees up owners who’ve been sitting on bigger private units, waiting for exactly this moment to move.

Still need an HFE letter. Still can’t touch an HDB loan or grants if you want to skip the wait. Full breakdown in the video.
