The real estate market started with $9 billion worth of collective sales closed within the first five months of 2018. This surpassed the record for the whole of last year, which witnessed $8.7billion worth of collective sales. Today, there are more than a hundred of collective sales at various stages, waiting to be closed successfully. Besides demand from the collective sales owners, this year will also witness a record number of transactions due to the fact that many upgraders, buyers and investors are now coming into the market.

Strong response can be seen at recent condominium launches such as those of The Verandah and Twin VEW this year. Both launches saw close to or more than 80 per cent of its units sold out within just one weekend — with one- and two-bedroom units snapped up within the first few hours of the showflats’ opening. Being one of the joint marketing agencies (JMAs) of Twin VEW at West Coast Vale, PropNex recently sold 263 units on the day of the development’s launch, clearing more than 50per cent of available units.

Mr Ismail highlighted that there are more new launches expected over the next few months to add vibrancy to the market — starting from The Garden Residences at Serangoon, Margaret Ville at Queenstown, Park Colonial at Woodleigh, 120 Grange, and more.”
