WHAT’S AROUND THE TAPESTRY CONDO TAMPINES

For shopping and retail, The Tapestry Tampines is represented by Tampines Mall, Century Square and Tampines 1. Here you’ll find an abundance of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, health and beauty services, banks and other entertainment opportunities.

Outdoor leisure and community spaces are supported by 2 large parks and a collection of smaller community parks. The 2 main parks for the Tampines area are the Sunplaza Park, situated on avenues 7 and 9, and Tampines Eco Green found at the junction of avenues 12 and 9.

The community parks include Tampines North Park, Tampines Leisure Park, Tampines Central Park, Tampines Park, Festival Park, Tampines Green and Tampines Tree Garden. So the area is not short of green outdoor spaces.

A further 2 main parks are being planned to complement the influx of residents coming into the area thanks to the developments popping up around the region, for example, our development that was recently acquired on Tampines Avenue 10, by City Developments Limited.

For travel, both around Tampines town and the region, there are plenty of organized and effective expressways including the Pan-Island Expressway and Tampines Expressway. HOW THE TAPESTRY FITS WITHIN THE GOVERNMENT MASTER PLAN

The future is very prospective for the Tampines regions for The Tapestry, with plans to increase the infrastructure and quality of life in the region.

A plan to increase connectivity to the region is already in the process of being executed. Currently, the East-West MRT line serves the region but this will increase to include the Downtown line, Eastern Regional and Cross Island line. The Downtown line will help to take some of the burden of the East-West line which connects to the city centre.

For driving, major upgrades are planned to the existing infrastructure of expressways, all planned to reduce journey times around the region and in connecting to other areas of the island. The improvements include widening of roads, improving junctions and an improvement infrastructure in built up areas that suffer from bottleneck traffic around locations such as Changi General Hospital.

With regards to employment, there is a definitive plan to bring jobs closer to home. One component of this is to reduce journey times by improving the infrastructure so it takes less time to travel to work. But from within the region, a plan has been created to add more office and commercial space to allow companies to move into the region bringing jobs with them. 504,000 sqm are planned, which represents an increase of 40%.

The local government and planning departments have been planning proportionately. To complement the sale of land for condo developments, that will bring more people into the region, they have also put aside land for park projects, both for community parks and interim parks.

Together there is a plan to safeguard the parks they have, make them more accessible and increase the opportunity for sports and leisure activities in the region. Similar to Tampines Town Hub, they have plans to create centres for people to meet and socialize, with sporting facilities available for a whole host of different sports that will benefits the residents of The Tapestry.
