Hey folks at Block 71!
Walkabout is next week (Friday, May 11th), here's what's going on.
Agenda - Companies at Block71 will open their office from 11:00 -1:00pm. You can join us in the afternoon as we tour companies located downtown from 12:30 -6:00 or meet up at Helipad at 7:00pm for the sponsored after party. Free drinks!
How many people will stop by my office! - Over 400 people have signed up for Walkabout - they will not all stop by your office! We estimate that each company will see about 10- 30 guests drop by the office during open hours from 11:00 -1:00.
Who are the people involved? Many of the participants are fellow developers, designers and entrepreneurs. We encourage you to invite your own community of users, friends and fans. Let folks know that you're participating on your blog, twitter and on Facebook.
What should I do with these people?!? Someone at your office should be prepared to greet the guests and show them around. Get ready to explain what your company does and why it's an exciting place to work. Demonstrate your product, encourage your guests to interact with your team and show off your work. Here are some ideas on how to successfully engage with your guests.
Schwag, discounts, and giveaways - Now is the time to shower users and potential new users with your brand. If you have tee shirts, promo codes, stickers, pens - ANYTHING with your name on it - share it with your guests.
How will people know where to find my office? The week of May 7th we will stop by your office with a small package that includes stickers and a sign for you to post on your door. The stickers are for you to share with guests, the sign is for you to post outside so people know exactly where you are. Your office is also listed here: http://walkaboutsg.com/map and on our suggested itineraries.
Who else is participating at Block 71? Make sure all your neighbors at Block 71 know about the event. If they're not participating, invite them to swing by your office! Here are the companies to check out:
