A little step forward to increase the family income ceiling

Singapore will raise the income ceiling for Build-to-Order (BTO) flats from S$14,000 to S$16,000 and executive condominiums (ECs) from S$16,000 to S$18,000.

Announcing the changes in his National Day Rally speech on Sunday (Aug 23), Prime Minister Lawrence Wong noted that Singaporeans are marrying later and many are further along in their careers and earning more by the time they settle down.

“We want to ensure that the vast majority of Singaporean couples can continue to have access to subsidised public housing,” he said.
