As of today 4th July 2025, buyers of any private residential properties will be liable to pay Seller Stamp Duty if they sell within 4yrs (instead of 3yrs) of the purchase.
This is to curb the sharp increase of new launch project buyers who sell their units (Sub-sale) even before construction has completed.
Also, the overall Seller Stamp Duty rates have been increased by 4%.
