π’ 15-Month Wait-Out Period Removed β What Does It Mean?
The Singapore Government has removed the 15-month wait-out period for eligible private residential property owners purchasing a non-subsidised HDB resale flat without an HDB housing loan, with effect from 28 July 2026.
For many homeowners considering a move from private property to an HDB resale flat, this removes one of the timing restrictions that had been in place since 2022.
However, itβs important to note that this does not mean all private property owners automatically qualify. Buyers must still satisfy the relevant HDB eligibility, ownership and financing requirements.
