It's a retro walk-up penthouse which has been stripped to reveal the style and beauty which only a combination of yesterday's architecture with today's vision could have achieved. Go absolutely ga-ga over the space, the style - the cool chic of this flat from the 1960's era where a go go made people ga ga. A studio of 2 rooms plus a

maid's under a super roof garden of about 2000 sq ft, this is not for the conventional "where's my condo?" dweller. If you hate cooker-cutter and love style. If you love history and adventure, come hither. in the historic Tiong Bahru Estate. Tiong Bahru Estate is one of the oldest housing estates in Singapore, built in the 1930s to cater for mass public housing in Singapore. The estate consists of about 30 apartment blocks with a total of over 900 units. The apartment blocks are made up of two to five-storey flats and the units are assorted three to five-room apartments (most without lift access). Fast forward to today, and the estate apartment are some of the most sought after in Singapore due to their rarity, heritage, local flavour, architectural distinctiveness, conservation status, proximity to the city centre and growing community of yuppies and creatives. But to many visitors (locals and tourists alike), it's the availability of top F&B outlets offering a wide range of local cuisine like bah k*t teh (pork ribs soup with peppery stock), porridges, seafood and notably an all-time favourable food centre --Tiong Bahru Hawker Centre and Wet Market, where many local dishes can be savoured at a pocket-friendly price--that continue to draw crowds. So a visit to Tiong Bahru invariably involves food, food and food! The wet market is essentially a morning activity venue, so if you are keen to experience an authentic slice of Singapore life...go early at 6am-11am. This apartment is beside Tiong Bahru MRT station (2 min walk) and many public transport options. Worth a visit? Perhaps for architectural enthusiasts...and well....for the food....definitely a YES!
