On the 14th July we were honoured to have a mummy Hawksbill Turtle lay her eggs in the peaceful perimeters of Seven Palms Resort on Tanjong Beach in Sentosa Cove. Thanks to the attentive eye of our guard Chanthra, we were able to alert the Environment Agency at SDC to ensure the eggs were protected during the incubation and hatching process.

After 52 days, the baby turtles started to hatch at 9.55pm on 3rd September and 100 hatchlings released into the sea by Condo Manager Cindy and Chanthra at 7.30am the following morning.

Close to 30 of our residents gathered early in the morning to watch this rare and exciting occurrence. Since 1996 there has only be 5 nests sighted in Sentosa Cove.

We wish the baby hatchlings well in their long journey ahead and hope they come back to visit us one day.
