One year ago, I took a leap into real estate.
To many, it may seem like just another career switch. But for me, it was the latest chapter in a journey that has spanned more than a decade.
Over the past 10 years, Iโve worn many hats.
I started as a hawkerpreneur, learning firsthand what it meant to build something from the ground up. Long hours, uncertain days, and countless lessons about resilience growing from 1 stalls to 6 in Singapore.
I then moved into F&B brand consulting, helping businesses grow, rebrand, and navigate challenges. It taught me that every business has a story, and every owner carries dreams that often go unseen.
Later, I stepped into the hospitality industry, where I learned that great service isnโt about transactionsโitโs about people, relationships, and creating meaningful experiences.
Today, as a realtor, I realise that every stage of my journey has prepared me for this role.
Because buying or selling a home isnโt just about property.
Itโs about life transitions.
Itโs about families.
Itโs about aspirations.
Itโs about helping people make some of the biggest decisions theyโll ever make.
This first year hasnโt been easy. There were moments of doubt, uncertainty, and learning curves that tested me. But there were also moments of gratitudeโclients who trusted me, friends who supported me, and opportunities that reminded me why I started.
Looking back, Iโm thankful for every chapter, every setback, and every lesson.
None of it was wasted.
