10KM RUN FINISHER ๐Ÿƒโœจ

When I was younger, I had childhood asthma โ€” which became an easy excuse to skip PE. Over time, that turned into a mental block I carried with me.

At 19, I was at my heaviest and hated how I looked, so I started exercising. Thatโ€™s when things shifted. I realised the biggest barrier was never my bodyโ€ฆ it was the story I kept telling myself.

Long distance running is 30% stamina, 70% mindset.

What your mind says at 1km.
How you motivate yourself at 5km - the halfway mark
How your body screams with pain and agony wanting to give up at 7km.
What you shout back yourself with the finish point in sight at 8km.
And that final push at 9km to the finish line.

This entire mental dialogue during the 10km reminded me why I started โ€” and how I WIN OVER MY MIND AND BODY. ๐Ÿ’ชโœจ

And definitely the right environment in SEA helps to cultivate that!
