🚨 Singapore EC rules JUST changed (8 May 2026)

If you’re a HDB upgrader, first-time buyer, or thinking of buying an EC — you need to know this.

The 4 major changes 👇
🔴 MOP doubled from 5 → 10 years
đź”´ Privatisation extended to 15 years
đź”´ First-timer quota raised to 90% (with 2-year priority)
đź”´ Deferred Payment Scheme (DPS) fully removed

But here’s the good news ✅
5 upcoming EC projects are NOT affected by the new rules:

đź“Ť Sembawang Road
đź“Ť Miltonia Close
đź“Ť Woodlands Drive 17 (x2)

These keep the old 5-year MOP, DPS, and second-timer quota — making them potentially the LAST window for HDB upgraders under the existing system.
