People sometimes ask me, “How is it that you can keep going year after year?”
My answer has always been the same — the team.
Like everyone else, we all go through our ups and downs. What has kept me going is knowing that I need to set an example for the team. That responsibility has given me the consistency to keep moving forward, even during the tougher times.
A retreat like this is a chance to slow down, have fun and simply enjoy one another’s company. On the surface, it may not look like work, but to me, this is just as important. After working hard, we also need moments to recharge. Personally, spending an entire day with my teammates gives me the energy to come back even stronger.
A team doesn’t become stronger just by working together. It grows by spending time together, understanding one another, creating memories that last beyond work, and most importantly, building friendships that stand the test of time.
One moment that really stayed with me was when I invited everyone to introduce themselves, especially since we had quite a number of new faces joining us. As everyone shared, many also mentioned how long they had been with us. It genuinely surprised me to realise that so many have been walking this journey together for years. That is something I will never take for granted, and I am truly grateful for every one of you.
Thank you to everyone who came along and made the day such an enjoyable one. Congratulations to all our game winners, and thank you to every participant for bringing your energy, enthusiasm and laughter throughout the day.
